Delta Coffee Works is a BC based premium coffee roaster that specializes in creating coffees that are custom built to meet each market segment. Their team has over two decades of international roasting and brewing experience. The company is a result of the merging of three coffee roasters that served different coffee market segments alone. Pacific Coffee Roasters originally based in Chilliwack BC roasts only extremely high quality coffees which are Organic, Fair Trade, and specialty grade. Los Beans originally based in the Gastown district of Vancouver BC, focused their efforts on creating coffee shop quality coffees as well as white / private label coffees for B2B customers. Best Gourmet Coffee Co, originally from Maple Ridge BC, has a long history of roasting quality, cost effective coffees for retail customers. Combining all three into one, Delta Coffee Works, they now serve every segment of the industry. Most importantly, we blend our passion for fine coffee with our passion for making a difference both globally and locally.
Increasingly, shoppers are looking to not only buy quality products, but to feel confident that they are helping and not harming the environment with their purchasing decisions. At Delta Coffee Works through the Pacific Coffee Roasters brand, we stand and support that desire with all of our retail products.

Seth is one of the owners here at Delta Coffee Works. He is the driving force behind the Pacific Coffee Roasters brand and their mission to renew and protect our coastal environment. Seth grew up off the grid on Read Island in the Discovery Islands where his love of all things ocean was formed. The ocean has been a playground for discovery of marine life as a child fishing and flipping rocks at low tide, a place of respect as a mariner who has experienced its peace and power, and later as a place of work and sharing knowledge as a sport fishing guide. Seth has always felt a deep connection with our coast and a sense of responsibility for its care. To him it is his home. .
With this connection Seth has also experienced great concern for the well being on the ocean here on our coast. The channel where Seth grew up was one of the first places on our coast where the fish farming industry was allowed to operate. There were 7 farm sites on Hoskyn Channel, all of which dumped all their waste directly into the ocean, each farm with the equivalent waste of a town of a small town people. Seth saw firsthand the change in the ocean in the summer months. Where the algae had once given the water a thick opalescent colour, the bay in front on his home became brown and frothy in the summer months. Today all the farms are gone, but the sites remain contaminated as per DFO with the harvesting of shellfish prohibited and abandoned equipment and garbage have been left on the shoreline. It took almost 10 years to return the summer waters to their opalescent colour. Seth has a goal of seeing the damage that was done being reversed everywhere on the coast. When given a chance, nature in its intelligence knows how to heal.
Later in life as Seth became involved in the coffee industry, he thought of ways to use his business to help in the recovery of the coastline that he cares so deeply for. He researched and found groups of people who are directly doing the work of cleaning up our coast and caring for important wild salmon habitat in our province. He drove the pledge to donate 10% of the profit from all his retail coffees to directly fund the groups of people he saw as having the most impact on the wellbeing of our ocean. He believes in the power of the lazy activist, where you can help with a cause just by buying a product from a company that cares.
Closer to home, we leverage our passion for the environment and a lifetime of experience on the waters of British Columbia to support two very important organizations.
The Ocean Legacy Foundation is a Canadian Not for Profit Society with a goal of eliminating ocean plastics. Founded in BC, we partner with Ocean Legacy by doating 10% of retail profits of Pacific Coffee Roasters Coffee to the great work that they do on our coasts.
The Pacific Streamkeepers Federation provides information and support for streamkeeper enhancement groups through the sharing of knowledge and project coordination. Operating since 1995, our support assists in the maintenance and revitalization of salmon environments and watersheds.
In addition to supporting these great local organizations, we ensure that our operations are environmentally friendly, utilizing hybrid roasters that are 80% more energy efficient than a typical roasting machine.
